The short version: Sides does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There is no account, no login, and no analytics. We run no servers that store your data.
Sides is designed so that we, the developer, never see your data. This policy explains what that means in plain terms.
What Sides stores, and where
Everything you enter — your roster, teams, scores, dues, schedule, and message wording — is stored on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced through your own private iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit). This data lives in your iCloud, under your Apple ID. We have no access to it, and it never touches a server we control, because we do not operate one.
Contacts
When you add players, Sides uses Apple's built-in system contact picker. Sides only receives the specific people you choose to add, and only the details needed to message them. Sides does not read, upload, or store your address book. (Debug/test builds used only in development may write a fictional “555” test roster; shipping builds never write to Contacts.)
Analytics, tracking, and advertising
Sides contains no analytics, no third-party tracking SDKs, and no advertising. Sides does not track you across apps or websites and shows no ads.
Purchases
Optional in-app purchases (Sides Pro — yearly or lifetime) are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Sides never sees your payment information. Apple's handling of purchases is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
The Messages app and keyboard
The Sides iMessage app and keyboard read and compose content only within the conversation you explicitly use them in, to show tonight's status and teams. They send nothing to us.
Children
Sides is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will change with it.
